Pixar’s Latest Movie Gets Sonoma Advanced Screening – Sonoma Sun

Buzz Lightyear, astronaut toy story franchise, gets its own Pixar feature with Light yearscreened on June 15 at the Sebastiani Theater.

The origin story follows the legendary Space Ranger after he is stranded on a hostile planet 4.2 million light years from Earth alongside his commander and crew. As Buzz tries to find a way home through space and time, he’s joined by a group of ambitious rookies and his charming robot cat companion, Sox. The arrival of Zurg and his army of ruthless robots complicates matters and threatens the mission.

The film features the voices of Chris Evans as, Uzo Aduba as his CO and best friend Alisha Hawthorne, and Peter Sohn as the Sox. The voices of Keke Palmer, Taika Waititi and Mary McDonald-Lewis are also featured. Alas, no Woody.

Directed by Angus MacLane (co-director of Finding Dory).
