Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl gameplay preview is all about Lucy Loud
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl continues to roll out character trailers, with the latest featuring Lucy Loud from The Loud House.
A few days before its release, Nickelodeon All-Star Fight regularly posts more information about what content gamers can expect. This is done primarily through a series of character overview trailers, giving fans a taste of how each character on the highly anticipated title’s eclectic roster works. The latest video focuses on one person from Nickelodeon’s most recent shows – Lucy Loud from The noisy house.
Developer Ludosity and publisher GameMill Entertainment’s highly anticipated combat platform should finally be released next week. The game was originally announced in mid-July, and while it doesn’t seem like a serious title at first glance, Nickelodeon Star Brawl will feature a restore netcode, something the majority of modern AAA fighting games lack.
Posted on GameMill Entertainment’s official YouTube channel, about five minutes Nickelodeon Star Brawl the trailer goes in depth with the “dark gothic girl” Lucy Loud. For those who don’t know, Lucy L. Loud is one of ten sisters at The noisy house protagonist of the Lincoln Loud series, signified by its distinctly Gothic appearance. Lucy is described as a highly technical character with a relatively short range, but makes up for it with three status variants called Scare Modes: Normal, Vampire, and Ghost. These fear modes can be toggled by landing a neutral special, with each mode modifying Lucy’s special moves.
Lucy Loud’s movement set uses stereotypical Gothic iconography: coffins, black umbrellas, and other things dealing with horror and the supernatural. The accompanying scene is also appropriate, being the rainy and gloomy Royal Woods Cemetery featured in the Nickelodeon show. As previously mentioned, Lucy Loud is the latest in an ongoing series of Nickelodeon Star Brawl character presentation trailers. One of the other newer features of storefronts The Wild Thorn‘s Nigel Thornberry, who differs from Lucy Loud in many ways.
Even if Nickelodeon Star Brawl slated to launch in less than a week, it’s not the only Nickelodeon video game in the works. Purple Lamp Studios is currently developing SpongeBob: the cosmic shake, which appears to be a time-hopping platformer starring the iconic SpongeBob SquarePants through his most famous moments. The game is made by the same team who developed the highly regarded SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated, it goes without saying that this new title will be equal or even superior to its predecessor.
With less than a week to go, the hype surrounding Nickelodeon Star Brawl is at an all time high. However, it may have some competition with the game it is inspired by. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate announces its final Fighter DLC on the same day, making October 5th a big day for fighting game fans.
Nickelodeon Star Brawl launches October 5 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X / S.
