Moose Toys Pens Reaches Global Licensing Agreement with DreamWorks Animation Trolls

Australian toy development and distribution company Moose Toys has partnered with Universal Brand Development for DreamWorks Animation‘s “Trolls” franchise to develop a line of collectible figurines for blockbuster films.

Scheduled to arrive in Fall 2023, the first set of collectibles will support the release of the latest “Trolls” movie to premiere in theaters on November 17, 2023. The line of collectible figures will feature new characters introduced in the latest movie, as well as evergreen movie favorites like Poppy and Branch in a wide variety of colors, finishes, and hair. Robust marketing campaigns will support the launch.

After creating the “the trolls” collectibles, the new partnership will enable cross-collaboration with other original Moose Toys brands.

“Extend the “T”Rolls” storytelling beyond the movie and collaborating with Moose is tremendous value,” said Joe Lawandus, senior vice president and general manager of global toys, hard lines and publishing for Universal Brand Development. “They demonstrated a clear and creative vision not only for our movie-inspired collectibles, but also for truly innovative thinking about how to infuse”the trolls” in their popular brands.

Moose Toys began its story by developing products with its own original brands and became best known for its collectibles. Adding licensing partners was its “logical next step,” according to a statement from the toymaker. The addition of “T” from DreamWorks AnimationRolls” expands Moose’s licensed portfolio, which already includes children’s brands like Bluey, Octonauts and Strawberry Shortcake.
